Nepali actress Neeta Pokharel or commonly known as Nitu Pokharel is a struggling actress in Nepali film industry. Nitu has been active in modeling and acting for the last 6 years. She had acted in movies like ‘Shoot’, ‘Shisha’ and ‘Flash Back’. After three movies, she had to wait for a while before she could sign in other movies.

Originally from Sindhuli, Nitu is a health professional by training. She came to Kathmandu to try her luck in acting. To prepare herself, Nitu was was trained under Anup Baral (a 3-months long training on acting).

In an interview, Neeta had told that some directors/producers asked for personal service for the role in their movies. Nitu has acted in music videos like Uday Sotang’s ‘Farkidinchhu Timro Lagi …’, Kamal Chhetri’s ‘Changa Chait …’ and Geeta Chaulagain’s ‘Himal Pariko Gaun ma …’ She has also modeled in a number of advertisements.

Before starting modeling and acting, Neeta was trained CMA. She also worked for about two years in Sindhuli District Hospital as a CMA. In Kathmandu, Neeta runs a hostel in Chabahil, Mitrapark. The hostel titled ‘Kritika Girls Hostel’ supports Neeta and her family.
