UPDATE – Harshika Shrestha got married to an Indian businessman on June 10, 2015.

Harshika Shrestha started in Nepali movie industry as the lead actress of “Angalo yo Mayako” with Prashant Tamang as her opposite. Before the release of her debut movie, she was offered in roles in another movie “Mission Paisa Reloaded”. After that she had acted in a number of other movies including Natiza, Karkash, Nagbeli, and Janzir.

Before starting acting in movies Harshika used to be an editor. While she was editing a television serial named ‘Samaya’ the director of “Angalo yo Mayako”, Binod Sherang asked her to play in his movie.

In addition to working in movies, Harshika has also modeled for various advertisements and music videos.

Film makers don’t pay, Harshika Shrestha

Actress Harshika Shrestha has told that the filmmakers don’t pay the artists in time. The actress of upcoming movie ‘Mukhauta’ has told that almost half of the movie she had done so far are yet to pay her.

Out of ten movies she has done so far, only six film makers have paid her. Remaining 4 movies haven’t pay her the remuneration they had previously agreed to pay. Harshika says that the income from advertisements and music videos come in help when she is not paid by the film makers.

Pay is not only the thing Harshika is not happy about the film sector, he affair in the sector was also unsuccessful. After being betrayed by a person in the film industry, she has promised not to have affair with the people in the industry.

Harshika’s ‘Mukhauta’ is releasing on Jesth 30 and ‘Nagbeli’ is releasing on Ashad 27.

Harshika Shrestha in preparation of ‘Akaranta’

Nepali actress Harshika Shrestha has started the preparation of her next movie ‘Akaranta’ by director Pramod Bhandari.

Pramod was also the director of Harshika’s another movie ‘Natiza. Talking about her the new movie, Harshika told that she is ‘feeling good’ to work with the director again.

Actress Harshika Shrestha operated to remove stone infested gall bladder

Nepali actress Harshika Shrestha is currently in hospital. She underwent a surgery to remove gall bladder when a stone of 10mm size was found in the organ. The actress had been dealing with the stone for the last one year.

Harshika was operated in Hams Hospital Buddhanagar on last Wednesday. After living in the hospital for a week she returned back to her home in Bhaktapur. Harshika told that the doctor has suggested her to rest for a couple of weeks.

After finishing the shooting of her upcoming movie ‘Mistake’ she hasn’t signed any new movie. Harshika debuted in Nepali film industry in ‘Angalo Yo Maya’.

Harshika Shrestha to debut as a VJ

Nepali actress Harshika Shrestha is going to be featured as a video jockey (VJ) in NTV Plus television. The program is a part of the promotion of her upcoming movie ‘Janjeer’. The movie produced by Karan Crazy is directed by Shovit Basnet. The movie features Harshika with Jaya Kishan Basnet in lead roles.

Harshika will run a Film City program to be featured every Monday at 10 PM as a guest VJ. The program run by the actress will be telecasted on Bhadra 3 at 10 PM.
